Our Story
Since 1985, Healthy Generations has raised funds to support the goal it shares with the Canadian Paediatric Society: to improve the health and well being of children and youth.
What we fund
Donors to Healthy Generations can support one of these projects:
Dr. Barry Adams Resident Advocacy Grant
Supports paediatric residents in developing planning and implementing community based research or advocacy projects in their community. These projects should aim to improve health access, reduce disparities or enhance the healthcare experience for children and youth.
Dr. Kent Saylor Bursary for Indigenous Medical Students
Awarded to encourage First Nations, Inuit and Métis medical students to consider a career in paediatrics.
Healthy Child Uganda
Supports volunteers, health workers and teachers with training and tools to bring better health to families and communities.
You can also designate your gift to our “greatest need,” which helps fund other Healthy Generations initiatives. Some recent funding initiatives include:
- Helping trainee members attend the CPS Annual Conference
- Supporting hyperbili, an online tool to help clinicians caring for newborns with hyperbilirubinemia.
